Eavestrough Repair

5″ K-Style Eavestroughs
5″ K-style is a common choice for many bungalows, townhomes, semi-detached homes, and smaller detached homes. It is cost-effective, clean-looking, and suitable when the roof area and downspout layout are not overloaded.
6″ K-Style Eavestroughs
6″ K-style eavestroughs are often recommended for larger detached homes, steep roofs, long roof runs, and homes with known overflow issues. They are commonly paired with 3×4″ downspouts to move more water away from the roof edge.

Downspouts and Drainage Matter
A new eavestrough system is only as effective as its downspout layout. Long runs with too few outlets can overflow even if the gutters are clean. During replacement, we often recommend larger outlets, additional drops, or 3×4″ downspouts when the roof volume calls for it.
We also look at where the water discharges. Downspout extensions should move water away from the foundation area where possible, without creating problems for walkways, driveways, neighbouring properties, or high-traffic areas.

Gutter Guards and Leaf Protection
Homes near mature trees often need more frequent eavestrough cleaning. Gutter guards can reduce debris buildup and lower maintenance, but they do not make a gutter system completely maintenance-free. Roof debris, seed pods, pine needles, ice, and roof design can still affect performance.

Eavestrough Repair vs Replacement
